Columbia Road Flower Market

Columbia Road Flower Market is one of my favorite markets to go to in London.  One of the downsides is that it is only open on Sunday. Thankfully twice a year there are Sundays ,where due to the time difference between London and Salt Lake City, church doesn't start until 5pm. Thank you General Conference. We were there towards the end of the market day, so most things were being discounted. Two for £5 went to three for £5, and lots of the venders were shouting out prices trying to make a sale. It is ironic that this is such a busy tourist attraction because it is nigh impossible to take home fresh flowers from a holiday. Besides flowers there are also lots of shops selling garden based goods, prints, paintings, books, cakes, tea, and home goods. But enough with the words, the market is better experienced through pictures!

The shops selling prints and paintings were fun to walk though. Here are some of my favorite prints and paintings.

Bakery and Flour Market. Love the play on words :)

After the market we headed to Brick Lane to get some 'beigels'. On the way we passed this really cool bench.

And this graffiti  wall.

And finally the 'beigels' bakery. They are open 24/7 and you can get a bagel with cream cheese for £1, a dozen bagels for £3, and a bagel with lox for £1.70. The bagels are very delicious and the price just can't be beat. We had to wait in quite a long line, but it only took about 10 minutes to get though. The people who work here are very efficient and everything is pre-made so the line moves quickly.

Opossum! We passed this on the way back home.

Vintage fiat 500! We also passed this on the way home :)
