Jerusalem has been high on my list of places to visit since I can remember. I was so excited when I was finally able to go last week. We spent two and half days there which was enough to see a lot, but there are so many things that I still want to see that we just didn't have time for. Our first day there we were mostly in the Old City.
We walked the Via Dolorosa in the morning and went to church after church after church. It was really cool to see all the stations and walk the streets of old town.
It is said that Jesus touched this wall.
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is the last station. According to Catholics this is Golgotha, the place of Jesus's crucifixion, as well as the tomb he was laid before his resurrection.
According to many religions this is the stone in the sepulcher that Jesus's was laid on after his death. A lot of people were praying and rubbing the stone.

In the afternoon we went to the tomb of King David
This is an ancient room that might have hosted the Last Supper.
Dormition Abbey, one of the two potential burial places of Mary.
This door has the Jerusalem, or crusaders cross on it.
Our last stop in old town for the day was the Wailing Wall.
After relaxing at the hotel for a bit Ben and I went on a little walk in which I took the remaining pictures.
